Conference weekend is the best.
I absolutely LOVE General Conference. Every year it gets better and better. I feel so uplifted, at peace, and excited about the Gospel. It is such a testimony builder that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is lead by Prophets, Seers, and Revelators.
In Edmonton, the church bookstore hosts a women's night out for the sisters while all the men are attending the Priesthood session. There are snacks and draws for prizes. Guess who won a Joseph Smith tea light candle? Yup. Me.
My lovely roommate Jenna and I made chicken and waffles in between the Sunday sessions. I certainly am no food photographer. But they were fantastic.
Post conference, my wonderful grandma hosted a family dinner -- which I appreciated even more today after the reminder that the family is the most important social unit in time and eternity.
Conference weekend is the best. I am already looking forward to October.
